Experience
James is a full-time writer and an experienced public speaker - his latest engagement was a talk on crowdsourcing at the Arnolfini in Bristol as part of the Bristol Literary Festival.
He has written three novels, The Wrong Story, An Other’s Look and Fizz, as well as a number of prize-winning short stories. He wrote a travelogue of his journey through Central America for Which? magazine and writes a monthly column for The Gudgeon magazine. He is a member of the Society of Authors, English PEN and United Authors, and has a Master’s degree in creative writing. He spent his placement reading submissions at Felicity Bryan Associates literary agency.
James also designs and delivers tutor-led workshops and runs his own editorial company providing content and copy for private and public sector organisations. He was an ambassador for Shooting Star Chase, a children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and he still promotes their cause wherever he can. He is a regular contributor to Carers UK‘s creative writing campaigns .
